Gezond eten hoeft niet duur te zijn. Granen, peulvruchten, groenten en fruit zijn heel voedzaam en relatief goedkoop. Een investering in je lijf! Dat scheelt weer in de ziektekosten op lange termijn. Slimme keuzes in je eetpatroon en eetgedrag zorgen écht voor een grotere bankrekening. Daarom deze handige tips, speciaal voor jou!
11 tips om goedkoper gezond te eten
- Bedenk van tevoren welke maaltijden je wilt gaan koken deze week. Voorbereiding is het halve werk. Check hierbij ook de aanbiedingen in de folder of op de website van de supermarkt.
- Pas je recept aan met ‘bonus’-producten. Wanneer je een duur ingrediënt vervangt voor een goedkoper ingrediënt is het recept vaak nog nét zo lekker. En het kostenplaatje lager!
- Maak een boodschappenlijst en koop alleen dat wat er op je lijstje staat. Zo voorkom je onnodige impulsaankopen.
- Don’t go shopping when you’re hungry! De verleiding is dan veel te groot in die heerlijke rij met koek, chips en chocola. Eet liever eerst iets voedzaams voordat je de supermarkt in loopt. Dan koop je niet meer dan nodig.
- Leg een voorraad aan als een product in de aanbieding is. Dit kan met ingevroren of ingeblikte producten. Ook met droge ingrediënten zoals rijst, pasta, noten, pitten en zaden.
- Zoek een markt in de buurt op om groenten en fruit in te slaan. Het prijsverschil tussen een markt en de supermarkt is groot. En soms komt er aan het eind van de dag nog eens een extra korting bovenop ook!
- Als je toch in de supermarkt groenten en fruit koopt: pak ze dan uit het schap. De voorverpakte en gesneden soorten zijn vaak een stuk duurder.
- Kook zelf. Thuis koken is een stuk goedkoper (als je het slim doet) en gezonder dan buiten de deur wat afhalen. Aandacht voor het eten = aandacht voor jezelf.
- Eet vaker plantaardig! Bonen, linzen en erwten zijn super goedkoop en super gezond! In combinatie met groenten en rijst of brood is dit een volwaardige warme maaltijd.
- Eet minder vlees. Vervang dit eens voor gezondere en goedkopere alternatieven zoals eieren, noten, fetakaas of tempé.
- Bonustip voor als je een tuin/ balkon hebt: Kweek je eigen groenten en fruit. Zaden zijn erg goedkoop. Even wachten, oogsten maar!
